The opportunity
The Finance Team at Netwealth comprises of two main functional areas. These are the Corporate Accounting and Product Accounting teams. The Corporate Accounting team is responsible for the financial information for the corporate entities in the Netwealth Group, including the listed entity (Netwealth Group Limited), the companies that hold our licenses (Netwealth Investments Limited), and all support functions including payroll and managing company expenditure. This team provides information to support the decision-making process of management as well as fulfilling our statutory requirements including financial reporting and tax returns.
The Product Accounting team is responsible for the financial information for the products and services that Netwealth offers and administers. This includes the Netwealth Superannuation Master Fund, the Netwealth Wrap Service, a series of Managed Investment Schemes and provide administration and accounting services for self-managed superannuation funds. The Product Accounting team ensures that all financial information is accurate and complete. Management and statutory reporting as well as reconciliations are the key deliverables from this team.
About you
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Superannuation Master Fund financial reporting, management reporting, financial analysis, APRA reporting, and ATO lodgements, including income tax and BAS/GST.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced Excel and Power BI experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on superannuation funds.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Acurity) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Superannuation Industry knowledge and IDPS Super platform experience highly regarded.
- A desire to constantly seek improvements and innovation to existing processes and procedures that will result in substantially improved efficiencies or client experience
